Endosc-Hp
H. Pylori Rapid Urease Test

To detect the urease enzyme of Helicobacter pylori present in gastric mucosal biopsies

Product Code: U1021

The Endosc-HP® test is a Rapid Urease Test (RUT) that detects the urease enzyme of Helicobacter pylori present in gastric mucosal biopsies.

The Endosc-Hp® test kit consists of a twin well cartridge containing urea, phenol red and buffer salts in tablet form and an ampoule of buffer. If the urease enzyme of Helicobacter pylori is present in a biopsy specimen, the rise in pH associated with the hydrolysis of urea causes a change in colour from yellow through orange to magenta.

Note: Although the result will appear within 30 minutes, any colour change from yellow through orange to magenta indicates a positive result and this may well occur within the first few minutes and long before 30 minutes has elapsed.
